Oct. 10, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: I am voting for Steve Hart in Kerrs Creek and supporting Tori Brown in Walkers Creek. Rockbridge County needs change.
I have worked with Steve and Tori on the Rockbridge Regional Fair and Expo. They listen. They cooperate. They get results. Neither will be driven by personal agendas or by the “go along to get along” culture that has dominated our Board of Supervisors. Too many county decisions look like insider favors. The Board’s refusal to hear citizens on failed solar projects and on the fantasy of a Rockbridge airport has drained public trust long enough.
At the core, Steve Hart and Tori Brown want county government focused on the future we leave our children. Are property rights protected for neighbors - or just for out-of-state solar investors? Can citizens question public officials in open meetings? Are big donors favored over working men and women? These questions demand leaders free of conflicts and back-room deals.
It’s time for a change. Let’s give Rockbridge a government we can respect. Vote for Steve Hart and Tori Brown. BILL RUSSELL Kerrs Creek
