Williams Seeking Third Term
Paul Williams, a native of Glasgow, is a retired educator who served eight years in the military. He is up for re-election for a third term as mayor of Glasgow.
He first won election as a write-in candidate in 2021. A former baseball coach, he stepped up to the plate to take on the position with little experience in town government, but learned quickly on the job. He presides over Council meetings, serves on committees, and has been known to hold down the fort when the town was in-between managers. He has gone over and beyond what was expected of him as mayor and can be seen mowing town properties and helping town staff whenever needed. He is a man of few words as he goes about his tasks, not asking for any praise or fanfare.
Williams is the father of one daughter and two grandsons who live in England.
