Sept. 29. 2-25 Editor, The News-Gazette: As a true independent, who considers himself very openminded towards others’ points of views, I recently attended Congressman Ben Cline’s town hall meeting held at the Rockbridge County Courthouse.
While Congressman Cline gracefully stated his policy positions and explained his votes clearly with true conviction, there were many in attendance who responded with bile spewing from their mouths and showed what was obviously a mob mentality.
Sitting in the audience, I regrettably thought of Ron White and his statement: “You can’t fix stupid.”
