Sept. 29, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: The town hall Congressman Ben Cline held in Lexington this past Thursday was disheartening.
The constant barrage of unkind, disrespectful, snide remarks from the anti-Trump, anti-Cline, anti-Republican peanut gallery was anything but tolerant, loving or democracy or welcoming of civil discourse. Like spoiled children who were never taught good manners, these angry, unhappy adults behaved disgracefully.
Fortunately Congressman Cline was taught good manners and gracefully held his own throughout. He is doing exactly the job the majority sent him to Washington to do. For this and for him I am very grateful.
