Parry McCluer High School will induct its 12th athletic hall of fame class this Saturday at a banquet in the PM gym at 5 p.m. Doors open at 4.
The six inductees are three-sport athletes Ray Barger (Class of 1965), Ben Burks (1982), Troy Clark (1983) Roger Dyer (1966) and James Radick (1970) and cross country and track runner David Fitzgerald Jr. (1981).
Tickets ($30 for adults, $20 for children and students) may be purchased at the PM office or by calling (540) 261-2128. Reservations for will call tickets may be made by calling (540) 2612129, and can be picked up at the door Saturday.
The inductees will also be honored at halftime of the football game Friday. Prior to the game, at 6 p.m., two members of this year’s team, quarterback Nathan Glass and running back Zavion Dunn, will be recognized for breaking a 48-year-old record for longest touchdown pass. The previous mark was held by Marty Carter and Mickey Dunn, who will also be present.
