Three of the presidents shared their plans for the school year. Emma Stinnett said, “I think we’re going to have a lot of fun plans for the school year that we all can contribute to.” Matthew Cooper said he plans to make friends and build unity. Hinkley Lovelace said he wants to apply everyone’s opinions into the events he hopes to create.
Our FCA has already started their events and the earliest one was last Wednesday, “See You At The Pole,” which means harmonizing with one another and praying around the school flagpole. On Oct. 2, the FCA members will have a special day to bring your bible to school. The FCA is also planning on doing a Bonfire at the Allens! These Allens will be hosted at 25 Allendale Drive on Oct. 24. Many students should join FCA from what Kyle Smals, FCA’s huddle leader, has reviewed about it: “It’s a fun experience to get to know other believers actually, to engage in worship with other people, to see that there are really other people out here.”
There was a College Fair on Monday, Sept. 15. Juniors and seniors visited Rockbridge County High School. A large number of colleges were at the fair. One of the students that went to the fair, Hinkley Lovelace, talked about colleges and universities in attendance. He stated, “I thought Virginia Tech was pretty cool.”
