Sept. 19, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: We will soon be going to the polls to vote on various positions. Before you go, think hard and religiously about the policies you are voting for. Each candidate has different opinions about their beliefs. When it comes to transgender girls from males, using the same restroom and lockers as girls and women, is absurd in my opinion. What parent wants her daughter exposed to the chance she could be assaulted by someone who still has a male body? It has happened twice before in Virginia that I am aware of.
Do you want your children to change their identity without your consent? Now don’t get me wrong, I am not judging anyone; that is up to God.
Keep the most dangerous criminals off our streets. We need to feel safe.
Our future is up to the voters.
