Happy birthday wishes are being sent to Michelle Robertson, Mickey Berry, Jerrad Terrell, Carol St. Clair, Morgan Groah and Dawn Lovelace, Better health prayers for Gail Bradley, who is having knee surgery and to Vickie Wilt, who had hip replacement surgery.
Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Tom Mackey. Tom was a regular at Gertie’s for many years. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at Gertie’s in Vesuvius, Oct. 11, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Just a reminder that this Saturday, Sept. 27, is Vesuvius Community Day. Come out for some good food at Emory United Methodist Church and yard sale treasures. There will be other yard sale treasures in the community that day. I will have a benefit yard sale for Boone, N.C. Gertie’s also will be open that day from 8 to 2 p.m. This is a great time to support our small community.
As we begin transitioning from summer to fall, I pray for those who have breathing issues. I ask God to bless our little community. I also thank God for those who check in on me. Have a blessed week folks!
