The Lexington-Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce is hosting two candidate forums for candidates running in local elections this year.
The first will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Hampton Inn Col-Alto on Nelson Street in Lexington.
This forum will feature the candidates for sheriff of Rockbridge County and the city of Lexington, candidates for the Board of Supervisors representative for the Kerrs Creek and Walkers Creek districts and the candidates for delegate of the 36th and 37th district.
The second forum will be for the candidates for Buena Vista City Council, mayor and sheriff. A location for the Buena Vista candidate forum has not been announced yet. Both forums will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30.
Early voting at the registrars’ offices actually begins today, Friday, Sept. 19.
