Jason Esque was arraigned in Buena Vista Circuit Court on Sept. 5, pleading not guilty to the six felonies and three misdemeanors he’s been charged with in connection to a vehicle accident on March 10 which resulted in the death of Donnie Coleman.
Esque was arrested in March and charged with three felonies: two counts of maiming due to driving while intoxicated and one count of leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in injury, as well as three misdemeanor charges: one count of driving while intoxicated, one count of driving with a revoked or suspended license and one count of reckless driving.
He was indicted by a grand jury in July on those felony charges, as well as additional charges of felony murder, vehicular manslaughter and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
A jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 29 and 30. A hearing for pretrial motions is schedule for Dec. 19.
