The Rockbridge County High School cross country teams competed in both the boys and girls races in the Clash With The Titans 2025 meet held at the Hidden Valley HS XC Course in Cave Spring on Saturday.
The boys team came in fourth place out of 15 teams with 142 points and an average split time of 20:47.79. The girls team came in sixth place out of 10, with 146 points and an average split of 27:48.43 The boys team had three finishers in the top 30, with the first being Lincoln Steele in 22nd place out of 115 (20:02.01). Blake McClung followed Steele in 24th place (20:25.57). Hudson Saunders ran a time of 20:27.79 for 26th place to round out the top three.
Other Wildcat finishers were Luke Elcholz in 37th (21:08.78), Jude Eicholz in 49th (21:54.78), Chase Potter in 54th (22:21.78), Zach Hart in 70th (23:35.93), and Ben Holston in 111th (30:09.95).
Reagan Imler, who led the Cats’ girls team at the Knights Crossing meet, did so once again, coming in 11th place out of 85 with a time of 24:17.24.
Dorothy Lewis was the next runner to cross the line for Rockbridge in 27th place (26:03.58).
Kate Holston finished in 33rd place (26:49.69). The remaining finishers for Rockbridge were Hannah Ivins in 48th (28:57.61), Audra Roney in 75th (32:54.04), and Gemma Batis in 78th (34:46.55).
The Wildcats will run again next Wednesday Sept. 24, at the Allegheny Shenandoah Quad meet, held at the Jackson River Sports Complex.
