Welcome to The News-Gazette’s second installment of local candidate profiles as we head into election season. This week, we’ve posed questions to the two people running for mayor of Buena Vista, incumbent Tyson Cooper and challenger Jesse Lineberry. In the race for the Walkers Creek seat on the Board of Supervisors, there is no incumbent seeking reelection as Dan Lyons decided to enter supervisor retirement. Hoping to succeed him are Boyd Brown and Steve Hart.
