Aug. 29, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: The Good Lord contoured Courthouse Square ideally very gently sloping from three sides toward Main Street. Hence, no standing puddles after rain storms; no accumulation of ice to slip on during winter months; no steps to hinder access of those with strollers and wheelchairs.
Installing steps, which is the current plan, is a horrible idea. Grass rather than pavers - please. Fix the brick paths a bit; otherwise leave the place as it is.
