‘Connect BV’ Starts Saturday

Main Street Buena Vista is launching “Connect BV,” a threepart downtown celebration series that begins this Saturday, Aug. 30, from 5 to 9 p.m., with a kick-off event featuring BV Historic Ghost Tours. A knowledgeable local guide will be leading the tours. There will also be a cornhole tournament, live music, a scavenger hunt with prizes and extended downtown sales.

The second Connect BV event will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon and evening events. Cars and Coffee will be followed by a kids bike parade hosted by Asunders Coffee. The fun continues downtown with the Vista Variety Show promoting a variety of family-friendly performances. Those who wish to participate can sign up at mainstreetbuenvista.org.

The third event will take place Saturday, Sept. 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. This grand finale will feature an outdoor movie, live music, sidewalk sales and a book signing with local author and illustrator Corey Egbert, celebrating both his new illustrated release and his graphic novel, “Visitations.”

“Downtown Buena Vista is becoming a hub for connection and celebration,” said Jen Carpenter, executive director of Main Street Buena Vista. “Connect BV reflects more than entertainment – it’s a movement to celebrate community and what we’re building together downtown. Come connect with Buena Vista. Come connect with the community, in the heart of downtown.”
