The annual Hart Family Reunion took place at the Rockbridge Baths Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, July 26. Fifty-nine family members and guests gathered from 15 states to attend.
Co-Presidents Mary Jo Baylor and Richard Hart welcomed everyone. Family updates were shared, and a moment of silence was observed for family members who had passed away since the last reunion. Several of the younger attendees led the group in the traditional Hart Family Blessing before the group photo and potluck lunch.
Lunch concluded with the customary round of watermelon, and the afternoon continued with fellowship, genealogy updates, and sharing of photos. As the reunion drew to a close, many of the attendees headed “to the river.”
The registration table held two arrangements of flowers. These were later taken to Bethesda Presbyterian Church and New Monmouth Presbyterian Church to be used for Sunday morning worship services.
