The Rockbridge Community Festival returns to downtown Lexington for its 48th year this Saturday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s event features over 200 vendors, including more than 60 new vendors. Among those are five new food vendors - Star City Sips, Social Bites (mobile charcuterie), Asunder Coffee Roasters, Chick-fil-A and Trixie Treats Farm Food Truck.
There will be no live entertainment this year because of ongoing construction at Courthouse Square.
The event will be held rain or shine, and streets in downtown Lexington will be closed to vehicles during the festival to allow space for booths, entertainment, and guests.
The Rockbridge Community Festival is organized by the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees and the Lexington Rotary Club. All proceeds benefit local nonprofit organizations, making this event both a community celebration and a way to give back.
