The Rockbridge County Public Schools Foundation (RCPSF) will host its fifth annual cornhole tournament fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 20, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Horse Center (Reel Arena).
Proceeds directly fund teacher mini-grants, classroom materials, and student enrichment programs throughout the school system.
The double-elimination cornhole tournament features cash prizes for the top teams. Barbecue, beer and seltzer will be for sale and there will be activities for children.
“Each year, this tournament not only brings our community together — it also makes a real difference in our schools,” said a board member of RCPSF. “We’re thrilled to celebrate five years of fun, fundraising, and support for Rockbridge County students and teachers.”
The registration fee is $100 per team (two players), and registration is limited so early sign-up is encouraged. Register at rcpsf.com/events/cornhole-tournament-registration.
RCPSF is also actively seeking event sponsors. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to get involved and support the cause. Sponsors receive recognition online, on-site, and in-event materials. To learn more, email [email protected].
“Toss bags. Build futures,” said the spokesperson.
