As the preparations continue for this fall’s train excursions based in Goshen, The News-Gazette last month paid a visit to the Virginia Museum of Transportation where maintenance is taking place on the famed Norfolk & Western Class J No. 611 steam locomotive.
During the visit, Mary Woodson recorded several videos with Zac McGinnis, steam operations manager with the Virginia Museum of Transportation, who explained the work that has been taking place on the historic engine. He also gave a tour of the cab of the engine in one video.
These videos can be found on The News-Gazette’s website starting this afternoon.
