For the second Monday in a row, the Rockbridge County High School golf team took first place in a Shenandoah District match, this time at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs.
The Wildcats shot a 333 on the 18-hole course to remain undefeated in the district, while Wilson Memorial placed second with a 340. Senior Harrison Tanner led RC, shooting a 78 to place second, while sophomore teammate Davis Welsh fired an 82 to tie for fifth place.
RC will return to action next Wednesday, Aug. 20, with a nine-hole match at Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg, starting at 4:15 p.m.
