July 28, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: Make America Great Again? Media companies and journalists and politicians being threatened with lawsuits or physical harm to their families. This is the way the mafia works, not a democracy.
Whole communities ripped apart by fear, as masked men with no ID drag people off in unmarked cars. Universities being threatened, and crucial funding being stripped for research with bogus claims of antisemitism, from the same president who hangs out with White Nationalists and calls them good people? He aligned the most inadequate, inexperienced, and partisan figures in the cabinet —ultra loyalists.
Great man? — Impeached twice and convicted on 32 counts of sexual harassment. Maybe not a proven pedophile, but he was besties with one for over a decade - a good judge of character?
Trump has sunk this country into the darkest corners of tyranny. How many U.S. presidents have had a fixer? Lining the pockets with billions for him and his cronies. What a crass and classless man. I wonder if the greed, bigotry or ignorance of those who voted for this regime was understood. If it was understood that people would be stripped of their health care, social services, schools and rural hospitals. If this regime represents righteous, Christian values - I highly advise people go back and read the good book - Trump hasn’t read it, or the constitution.
