The local La Leche League group will celebrate the joy of breastfeeding for women all around the world at the Tuesday, Aug. 12, meeting at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church on 123 W. Washington St. The meeting will be held in the Canterbury Room on the second floor, accessible by elevator at the back of the building.
Breastfeeding is an ancient art and all breastfeeding women deserve support in the hospital, home, workplace out in public or wherever they may be and their baby is hungry, says a spokeswoman. Mothers need to know what a positive impact breastfeeding has on their baby’s health, their health and the community as a whole.
