Youth Chorale Starts New Season

The Rockbridge Youth Chorale kicks off its 25th season on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the choir room at Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington. All singers in first through 12th grades are invited to sing. Tuition for the season is $75 per singer plus concert attire. Financial assistance is available and no auditions are required.

The RYC consists of two choirs: the Children’s Choir for singers in first through fifth grades directed by Katelyn Roll, and the Youth Choir for singers in grades six through 12 conducted by Lacey R. Lynch.

Over the past 25 years, the RYC has strived to provide a high quality, fun and welcoming choral experience for singers of all ability levels. Thanks to the Rockbridge Choral Society board of directors, donors and a Washington and Lee University Community Grant, the RYC continues working towards making sure everyone who wants to sing with the RYC is able to, regardless of cost.

To learn more about the RYC, access registration links and financial aid information, send email to RYCLexington@gmail. com, visit the RYC page on Facebook or Instagram, go to www.rcs.org, or come to the first rehearsal on Aug. 19 and see what it’s all about.
