Lexington Man Jailed For Burglary

The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in a burglary on Blue Grass Trail
in which approximately $15,000 worth of property was reported stolen.
The burglary, which occurred in the 3600 block of Blue Grass Trail, was reported to the
Sheriff’s Office on Friday, July 25. As a result of the investigation, Dustin Travis
Johnson Sr., 40, of Lexington, was taken into custody on July 28 and charged with two
felonies: one count of breaking and entering and one count of grand larceny. He is
currently being held without bond in Rockbridge Regional Jail.
“Our deputies acted quickly and thoroughly to identify and apprehend the suspect in this
case,” Sheriff Tony McFaddin said in a press release last Thursday. “This arrest reflects
our continued commitment to protecting property, ensuring public safety, and holding
individuals accountable for criminal activity.”
The release also stated that the investigation is ongoing and Johnson may be facing
additional charges. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s

A preliminary hearing on the breaking and entering and larceny charges is scheduled for
Sept. 24 in Rockbridge County General District Court.
