With a new school year just weeks away, the YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge is gearing up to support hundreds of local families through its Y After School program.
Y After School operates on-site at elementary schools across Roanoke City, Roanoke County, city of Salem, Rockbridge County, Lexington, and Botetourt County, serving children ages 3–12 with programs designed to support both students and working families.
Y after-school programs will be offered locally at Central, Fairfield and Waddell elementary schools from Aug. 12 through May 21, 2026. The programs will run on planned holiday breaks.
As a nonprofit, the YMCA works to make high-quality after-school care accessible for families of all income levels through scholarships and Virginia DSS Assistance.
