
The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps, an all-youth band from Plymouth, Mich., per-formed 18th and 19th century fife and drum music, while demonstrating marching and color guard maneuvers on the parade ground at Virginia Military Institute on Saturday morning July 12. Members of the corps wear 1783 period replica uniforms of George Washington’s Life Guards, and each woolen uniform weighs 10 pounds. VMI alumnus Dr. Rodney Daniels’99 is the current vice president and equipment manager for the corps. He has been involved for seven years and has three children who are members.
