College Graduates

The following local students received a degree from Washington and Lee University on May 29.

Naka Alounkou Reine Assoumatine of Lexington received a bachelor of science degree cum laude. Assoumatine majored in computer science and economics.

Jorge Alberto Gomez Mancilla of Lexington received a bachelor of science degree in earth and environmental geoscience with honors and romance languages.

Sophia Beatriz Caffrey of Lexington received a bachelor of arts degree cum laude. Caffrey majored in politics and Spanish.

Pierson Stone Hull of Lexington received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry.

Sawyer James Dunn-Matrullo of Lexington received a bachelor of arts degree cum laude in chemistry.

Olivia Chambers Ullmann of Lexington received a bachelor of arts degree magna cum laude in chemistry. - The following local students graduated this spring from James Madison University.

Destiny McDaniel of Buena Vista graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music.

Jonas Moyers of Buena Vista graduated with a bachelor of science degree in sport and recreation management .

Thomas Stillwell of Buena Vista graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology.

Henry Pufahl of Fairfield graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing.

John Shomo of Lexington graduated with a bachelor of science degree in communication studies.

Julia Mayo of Lexington graduated with a bachelor of science degree in sociology.

Madison Ruley of Lexington graduated with a master of science degree in speech language pathology. - The following Lexington residents graduated from the College of William & Mary this spring: Elizabeth Harrison, Luna Harrison and Henry Worth, who all earned bachelor of arts degrees.
