During the regular 10 a.m. Sunday service at Lexington Presbyterian Church this week, time will be dedicated to commemorating the 25th anniversary of the fire that destroyed the sanctuary.
The Rev. Bill Klein will recite a prayer he delivered during the first service held in the church after the fire, and Skip Hess will give a brief history of the fire and its aftermath. There will also be discussion of a banner hanging in the sanctuary that survived the fire and a collage made by a member of the church of burned bibles and hymnbooks.
