The Late Night Stumblers will perform on the meadow stage at Boxerwood this Friday, July 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Hailing from the hills of Rockbridge County, The Late Night Stumblers play an eclectic mix of country, Americana, and rock and roll. Influenced by a variety of artists and bands from Hank Williams to Drive-by Truckers, The Stumblers perform cover songs as well as a healthy dose of original material with an emphasis on storytelling. Their debut album, “Tall Tales, Legends, and Absolute Lies”, was released in February of 2023.
The current line up consists of Callum Baxter on drums, Taylor Mason on electric guitar, harmonica and harmony vocals, Travis Odell on lead guitar, banjo and mandolin, and vocals, Brad Austin on bass guitar, and Bryce Teague on rhythm guitar and vocals.
The Late Night Stumblers have provided live entertainment for public and private events since August of 2019.
Musicians take the stage at 6:30 and conclude at 8 p.m. as the sun goes down. The gate opens at 5:30 p.m. so that early arrivers can meet up with friends to picnic, socialize, or get a bite to eat. A food truck will be serving food for purchase.
Admission to Music in the Garden is free for kids and current Boxerwood members and $5 per adult for nonmembers. There’s no charge for parking in the field. There is dedicated handicapped parking and the terrain is suitable for wheelchairs.
Attendees may bring their own beverages, lawn chairs and blankets. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome as long as owners clean up after them. Attendees should pack out their own trash.
In the event of rain, concerts will be postponed. Consult Boxerwood social media and/or the Boxerwood website for more information, including “iffy” weather updates and food truck posts.
