The George C. Marshall Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will host its annual Veteran Support Golf Tournament at the Lexington Golf and Country Club on Friday, July 18.
The proceeds from the tournament will support special service projects and scholarships for local veterans and their families. Support also goes to two junior ROTC programs in Lynchburg, senior ROTC programs locally, the Virginia Veteran and Family Support program, and local organizations that support veterans.
The registration fee for this event is $100 per participant and includes greens fee, golf cart, free refreshments on course, and buffet following the tournament. The tournament will be played using the captain’s choice format. Pro shop cash prizes will be awarded for low gross and low net score for both men’s and women’s teams, as well as prizes for closest to the pin and best drive.
All participants are encouraged to pre-register. Contact the Lexington Golf and Country Club Pro Shop (540) 463-3542 to register. Sign-in/registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Sponsorship opportunities for the event are also available at a variety of sponsorship levels. Sponsorships begin at $100 for an individual hole sponsor sign.
