As the saying goes, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts. According to the Federal Election Commission, Trump received 49.80% of the votes cast and Harris 48.32%. I’ll leave it to your readers to decide if 1.5% is a “vast” margin, but sorry, 49.8% is not a majority.
I have no doubt that Mike actually believed that Trump won by a vast majority, but I would ask him to consider that if he has been misled on something so fundamental and easy to verify, what other “facts” might he want to reconsider? ERIC SHEFFIELD Rockbridge County
