July’s First Friday Art Walk on Washington Street has been rescheduled.
“The first Friday of July falls on Independence Day, July 4th. That’s a national holiday reserved for picnics, family time and fireworks,” said Lori McMahon from Artists in Cahoots. “So the galleries on Washington Street rescheduled our meet-the-artist receptions to the following Friday – July 11 from 5to 7.”
Artists in Cahoots is featuring new plein-air paintings of Rockbridge County by Elizabeth Sauder. Nelson Gallery is showing photographs by Lexington’s recently retired attorney David Natkin. Earth, Fire and Spirit Gallery is hosting the mixed media assemblages of Staunton artist Susan Weeks. Cabell Gallery has an open house highlighting the artists it represents.
