Leading worship at the Collierstown and Mt. Horeb United Methodist churches on Sunday, June 22, was former minister the Rev. Bill Bearden. Rev. Bearden assisted with the recognition of recent Rockbridge County High School graduates, Dalton Woody and Gabriel Wade, at the Collierstown service. The graduates were presented with Bibles and honored at a reception following the worship service.

Missy Lesher was the representative of the Collierstown Charge at the Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church held at the Berglund Center in Roanoke June 11-14.

The men of the Collierstown United Methodist Church will hold their monthly breakfast on Saturday, June 28, at 9 a.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. All men are welcome to come and enjoy the good food and fellowship.

On Sunday, June 29, both churches of the Collierstown United Methodist Charge will worship together at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Horeb Church. Following the worship service there will be a covered-dish lunch for both congregations to enjoy.

The Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery Committee has announced effective July 1, the cost for cemetery spaces will increase to $400 each for members and $1000 each for nonmembers.
