Soaring temperatures did not deter community members from attending this year’s Juneteenth celebration at Richardson Park in Lexington. Music was provided by the
100 Proof GoGo Band from Charlottesville. Food trucks from the area and elsewhere were on hand serving barbecue along with traditional soul food. There were also dance performances, crafts, a bounce house and facepainting. (Stephanie Blevins photos)
