Master Gardener Help Desk
Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon during the growing season from April 1 to Oct. 30 is a great opportunity to get assistance with home gardening questions and plant problems at the Rockbridge Extension office. Rockbridge Area Master Gardener volunteers staff the plant diagnostic help desk during these hours and are ready to help answer questions related to stewardship of the landscape or garden.
To date this year, our Rockbridge Master Gardener diagnostic teams have helped resolve problems associated with boxwood, laurel, roses, bee swarms, holly, vegetable garden establishment, soil fertility, ground cover selection, arbor vitae, several insect identification and control questions, and others. In addition to Monday mornings, master gardener assistance is available at periodic mobile plant clinics held in conjunction with some community events and Rockbridge residents can also submit questions and photos by email to [email protected]. Thanks to all the master gardener volunteers that help with questions.
The Rockbridge Extension office is located on the second floor of the Rockbridge County Administrative Building at 150 South Main Street in Lexington.
