Glasgow Garden Club members will be acknowledging National Garden Week on Saturday, June 7, by hosting a community event from 10 a.m. to noon at the Glasgow Library parking lot.
Club members will be on hand to talk with guests about the numerous activities the club is involved in throughout the year to help beautify the Glasgow community and answer any questions guests may have about gardening and plant material.
Members will also have plant material to give away free to those attending as they encourage gardening and promote the national recognition of the value of gardening in our everyday lives and community, along with gardening activities for children.
The Glasgow Garden Club also invites everyone to view the club projects display inside the library.
With the designation of June 1-7 as National Garden Week, this becomes a shared project with garden clubs across the nation and beyond with the goal to make “a world of difference.”
