The Rockbridge Area Republican Committee has selected the cleaning of older grave markers of veterans and old markers for infants in cemeteries in Buena Vista, Lexington and rural areas of the county. Teams of three to five members will work a couple hours in various cemeteries this summer. The first group cleaned 27 older grave markers in the Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista on May 20. Taking part with Dennis Bussey in the cemetery cleaning project were RARC chair Jan Lowry, Connie Crittenden, Lindsey Zea, Easley Moore (pictured here) and Mike Lowry.
