PM Baseball And Softball Start District Tourney Monday, Girls Tennis Plays For First Place

The Parry McCluer High School softball and baseball teams will compete in the Pioneer District tournament on Monday at 5 p.m., while the PM girls tennis team will face district rival Narrows in a match to determine first place in the district on Monday at 10 a.m. at Glenvar High School in Salem.

The PM softball team (4-11 overall, 3-2 district), the second seed in the district, will play host to third-seeded Narrows (2-11, 1-4) in the district semifinals, while the fifth-seeded PM baseball team (4-12, 3-6) will play at fourth-seeded Eastern Montgomery (10-4-1, 4-4) in the quarterfinals.

After splitting a pair of 5-4 contests with Narrows during the regular season, the PM girls tennis team (6-3, 2-1) will face the Green Wave for first place at Glenvar, starting with doubles matches and then playing singles matches. The first team to win five matches will be the winner.
