The Rockbridge County High School boys lacrosse team split a pair of road games last week, coasting to a 16-1 win over Christiansburg last Tuesday before suffering a 17-1 loss at E.C. Glass on Thursday.
Against Christiansburg (0-10), the Wildcats (4-6) got four goals each from Grayden Brown and Andrew Kelly, and Brown dished out one assist.
When the two teams met previously on March 26 at RC, the Wildcats won 19-4. In the rematch, John Brooke led RC with seven assists and scored three goals, Parker Flint and Pat Looney each had two goals, and Jayden Layman scored one goal.
Statistics were not available from the loss at E.C. Glass. The Wildcats play host to Blacksburg tonight, Wednesday, at The Fields at Southern Virginia University, with the location moved because RC is playing host to a track and field event. The Wildcats will play host to Jefferson Forest on Thursday and conclude the regular season on Monday at Patrick Henry in Roanoke. All three nights will start with junior varsity action at 5:30 p.m., followed by varsity action.
