April 30, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: Over the past few weeks I have taken the opportunity to send Representative Cline several emails, 21 of them in fact.
Each email was on a different topic including Medicaid, education, IRS, Greenland, HHS, Social Security, Radio Free Europe, budget cuts, tariffs, courts, free speech, the VA, and many more. At the end of each letter I asked Mr. Cline if he would be willing to come to Lexington to discuss any of these issues with his constituents.
Over the past four weeks I have received only three responses – each a form letter that did not address any of the issues I have written about. Never has he mentioned he would be willing to hold a town hall meeting with his constituents. Is this any way to represent us? I suggest we hire a new representative next year!
