Welcome to our annual listing of summer camps available to Rockbridge area children. We hope that your family can find some fun and education activities this year.

Story Trekkers Camp At Boxerwood Ages: for children 4-5 years old Dates: Monday-Friday, June 2-6 Times: The camp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Art Camp with Tracy Bond Ages: kindergarten through seventh grade Dates: June 16-20 Times: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Contact: [email protected] for more information.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes Power Camp Description: Power Camp is a sports day camp for children 8 to 13 years old. Each camper focuses on one sport during the week. Boys’ sports are basketball, soccer, lacrosse and flag football. Girls’ sports are basketball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and cheerleading. Each camper receives a Tshirt, Bible, lanyard, cinch bag, and water bottle Ages: 8 to 13 Dates: June 9-13 Time: 8 a.m. to noon Location: Lexington Baptist Church (75 Old Farm Road) Cost: $60 per camper (no refunds). Readers’ Theater Summer Camp 2025 Camp description : A two-week reading and writing enrichment camp that will provide students with opportunities to work on their reading skills while creating and performing a Readers’ Theater play. Participants will be capped at 10 students to ensure each camper receives individualized support.

Ages: Rising second- through sixth-graders

Dates: June 2-13 Times: 1 to 4:30 p.m. Location: Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church

Fee: $400 for two weeks, payable by check or Venmo.

A Cappella Camp Camp description: Vocal training, beat boxing, and ensemble performance coaching for all skill levels. Campers will perform three songs for parents at the end of the week.

Ages: 12-18, Dates: July 14-18 Times: 9 a.m. to noon Location: Christ Episcopal Church in Buena Vista Fee: $95 Treble Makers Music Camp Camp description : Group and individual vocal training with games, crafts, and other musical activities. Campers will prepare songs with choreography for a final day performance.

Ages: 6-11 Dates: July 21-25 Times: 9 a.m. to noon Location: Christ Episcopal Church in Buena Vista.

Nature Camp Dates: First session (grades 10-1112): June 15-June 28 (FULL); Second session (grades 8-9): June 29-July 12 (spaces available only for boys); Third session (grades 7-8), July 13-July 26 (FULL); Fourth session (grades 5-6), July 27-Aug. 9 (spaces available only for girls and those desiring gender-inclusive housing) Location: Nature Camp, Vesuvius Registration: go to https://www.naturecamp. net/youth-sessions/camperapplication/

Junior Police Summer Camp Dates: June 23-27 for ages 7-8; July 14-18 for ages 9 to 10; Aug. 4-8 for ages 11-14 Special notes: Each camp is limited to 30 participants. Snacks and lunch are provided.

Go online to https://www. lexingtonvapd.com/community-linksmain/ junior-police-camp Fee: $45 Grace Bible Camp Dates: Week 1, ages 7-12, June 15-21; Week 2, ages 7-12, June 22-28; Week 3, ages 12-17; June 29-July 5; Week 4, ages 7-12; July 6-12; week 5; ages 7-12, July 13-19 Site: Grace Bible Camp, Goshen Fee: The cost is $400 per week for all ages. “Campership” funds are available for those in need of financial assistance. Discounts are available for campers, ask camp registrar before registration. A one-time registration fee of $100 must be sent with the camper’s registration form. The registration fee applies to the total cost. This fee will be refunded if registration is cancelled at least two weeks before the first day of the camper’s assigned week. Your camper is not registered unless the camp receives both the registration form and the registration fee.

Special notes: The camp week begins on Sunday and campers should plan to arrive between 2 and 4 p.m. to check in and get settled in their cabin. The camp week ends on Saturday and campers should be picked up between 10 to 11 a.m. Parents and families are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Woods Creek Montessori Summer Camp Dates: June 2-6 Tuition and times: Tuition for pretoddlers for a half day (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) is $160/week and for a full day (8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is $215/week; tuition for toddlers for a half day (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) is $150/week and for a full day (8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is $205/ week; tuition for primary aged kids for a half day (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) is $140/ week and for a full day (8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is $195/week; extended afternoon day care is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. is $60/week.

Special notes: There is a $40 one-time registration fee with a 5% sibling discount.

Camp Rockbridge

Ages: 5-12 Camp location: Waddell Elementary Camp days and time: May 27-Aug. 1, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Fees: $190 for YMCA members, $205 for non-members Special notes: Each week campers will participate in enrichment activities such as swimming, arts, sports, and hands-on STEAM activities to help close the gap of summer learning loss.
