Our sincerest condolences are extended to the Williams family for the sudden passing of my cousin Kevin Williams. Kevin was born and raised in Buena Vista and graduated from Parry McCluer. He spent 25 years in the U.S. Air Force. He lived and worked in Maryland. He is survived by his wife Kyong “Ume” Williams and daughter April Williams, both of Maryland, his parents Ron and Thelma “Boots” Williams and sister Amy Ross, all of North Carolina, as well as his aunt Frances Brown and uncle Arnold Williams, both of Arnolds Valley. Kevin was 60 years old.
At Faith Baptist Church, there will be a Clothes Closet on April 26 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. A Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be held on April 30 at 8 a.m.
St. John’s Episcopal Church’s Easter Sunday Community Service was led by the Rev. Deacon Linda Ricker. The service was a Liturgy of the Word and Table. Many thanks to the Rev. Ricker for leading the service, and to Bert Buford, Josh Gardner and Courtney VanOsten for providing music. Thanks also to Sallie Thielecke for hosting coffee hour. Next Sunday a morning prayer service will be led by Sharon White.
