W&L’s Lenfest Center’s University Outreach & Engagement Series concludes its spring season “National Theatre Live” series with the hilarious, award-winning, onewoman show “Fleabag” on May 7 at 7:30 p.m. on the W&L’s campus Stackhouse Theater screen located in Elrod Commons.
“Fleabag” is 67 minutes and Rated R. Tickets are required.
Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and directed by Vicky Jones, “Fleabag” is a riproaring look at some sort of woman living her sort of life.
Originally screened in cinemas in 2019, “Fleabag” was National Theatre Live’s best-selling production ever at the time of release and was captured live from Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s West End. It inspired the BBC’s hit TV series and follows closely the plot of the first series of the TV show and features different characters that don’t appear in the TV series.

, page B2 truths are revealed. With family and friendships under strain and a guinea pig café struggling to keep afloat, Fleabag suddenly finds herself with nothing to lose.
The play won a host of awards, including two Off West End Theatre Awards; The Stage Award for Best Solo Performer; and the Critics’ Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright.
