A Cleanup Wrapup

A Cleanup Wrapup

Almost 80 groups with a little over 500 people participated this year in the Rockbridge Area Community Cleanup. Around 1,500 bags of litter, tires and car parts were cleaned up from county roads for an estimated 20 tons of litter removed. Chuck Smith and Elizabeth Knapp, from the Litter Eliminators, are pictured doing their work for the cleanup. This annual event is a cooperative effort between Rockbridge Conservation, Virginia Department of Transportation, Rockbridge County, Boxerwood and Walkabout.
