The Rockbridge County High School girls tennis team suffered a 9-0 road loss to Valley District rival Spotswood on Tuesday of last week.
With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 0-2, both overall and in the district.
RC was scheduled to face local rival Parry McCluer last Thursday at the Southern Virginia University courts, but that match was postponed due to rain. For the rescheduled date and time, visit www.rockbridgeathletics.com.
The Wildcats were scheduled to have their home opener against Valley District rival East Rockingham on Monday before continuing district action at Harrisonburg yesterday. They’ll start next week with a pair of home matches at the Lexington Country Club courts, a nondistrict contest against Staunton on Monday and a district match against Turner Ashby on Tuesday. Both matches are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
PM was scheduled to play at Auburn on Monday of last week, but that match was postponed due to rain and has been rescheduled for Monday, May 12, at 5 p.m.. The Fighting Blues (2-1) will play a nondistrict match at Nelson County next Wednesday, April 23, at 4:30 p.m.
