After more than 50 years of operation in Lexington, the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on Walker Street was abruptly and permanently closed last Thursday. Trucks were seen onsite the rest of the week as equipment was removed. The restaurant first came to Lexington in 1969, located originally where Sheetz sits today. Efforts to contact the local restaurant’s owners, Tasty Restaurant Group Inc., for comment have been unsuccessful so far.
