The Kids Fishing Day at Natural Bridge State Park Saturday drew about 125 participants, up from last year’s 110. The Natural Bridge Ruritans (seen below) taught kids how to clean a fish, and Ricky Siler, one of the event’s sponsors, taught a quick campfire cooking class for those who wanted to eat their catch at the park. Friends of NBSP bought the 560 rainbow trout to stock Cedar Creek and helped run the event. Bizzee B’s BBQ donated and cooked up 200 hot dogs and Blue Ridge Deli donated 200 bags of chips.
