Kids Fishing Day will be held at Natural Bridge State Park this Saturday, April 5, from 7 a.m. to noon.
Young anglers aged 12 and younger get free admission and can fish for free during this annual event. Cedar Creek, which runs under the Natural Bridge, will be stocked with rainbow trout for the taking. Park rangers and volunteers will be on hand to help teach children how to fish or do a craft program.
Guests must bring their own pole, bait and gear. Children can catch and keep up to six fish each. No adults may fish, but there must be at least one paying adult with participating children.
After noon, children’s tickets resume their normal rate at $6 per child. Adults (13 and older) pay regular admission price all day.
For any questions, call (540) 254-0795. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Natural Bridge State Park.
