Jan Lowry was elect unanimously interim chair for the Rockbridge Area Republican Committee at the Monday evening meeting in Buena Vista.
Lowry has served for several years as the organization secretary and headed the successful voter registration drive in several recent elections.
She is filling out the term being vacated by Doug Smith who has held the chair position since 2017.
