The Virginia Department of Forestry is again seeking 12 species of acorns and nuts that can be planted at its Augusta Forestry Center in Crimora to grow into tree seedlings that will become the forests of tomorrow.

The Virginia Museum of the Civil War and the New Market Battlefield State Historical Park will resume operations seven days a week beginning Monday, Sept. 21. The museum and battlefield had been on a weekdays-only schedule since July 1, after an extended closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
