The Rockbridge County High School baseball team suffered a 15-1 road loss in five innings to Alleghany to fall to 0-3 on Monday of last week in Covington.
Playing in a nail-biter for the second week in a row, the Rockbridge County High School girls tennis team suffered a 5-4 home loss to Broadway in the Valley District opener on Monday of last week at the Lexington Country Club courts.

The Rockbridge County High School boys tennis team earned a pair of road wins last week to improve to 3-0, defeating Broadway 8-1 in the Valley District opener last Monday before overcoming nondistrict rival Lord Botetourt last Wednesday.
Parry McCluer High School girls basketball player Victoria Hamilton was named to the Virginia High School League Class 1 all-state second team on Friday.
